Sold out to participate in the conversation at this May's edition of the CEO Council, with Fina Lladós as the special guest. The new CEO of Catalonia.health, Arantxa Sanz, was in charge of the welcome, accompanied by Mariona Serra, president. This was the second edition of 2025, after the conversation with Ignasi Belda, of these small-committee discussion meetings exclusively for Catalonia.health members.
Lladós has been the CEO of Amgen Iberia since September 2017 and has spent her entire professional career in the pharmaceutical industry. After working at Roche and Sanofi-Aventis, she joined Amgen, a biotech company, where she has been for the last 25 years. She initially joined the Research and Development department, and later moved on to medical and commercial functions, both in Spain and at the company's European centre in Switzerland. In addition to her position as general manager for Spain and Portugal, she is also president of Farmaindustria since October 2024. Lladós represents Amgen on the Board of Directors of various organisations, such as AmCham and ASEBIO, and on boards of trustees such as Biocat. She is also an individual member of the Board of Trustees of the Barcelona Science Park.
During the session, she shared her perspective and point of view on various structural and current issues in the sector. Lladós wanted to start the conversation by sharing with the audience her professional career and how it has been built and combined with her personal life. A necessary context, according to what he shared, to understand the motivations at a professional level. It was a highly participative session in which the attendees were able to put on the table and contrast it with the viewpoint of the guest speaker, a range of issues of interest ranging from national and European policies, the relationship of the pharmaceutical industry with innovation, the development of the health system or the public perception of the sector's activity.
An open space for dialogue to share and contrast points of view, which allows to create value from the meeting of the members of the Catalonia.health community.
This event has been carried out with the support of ACCIÓ.
