Beyond specific activities, Catalonia.health offers specific training programmes for associated companies and institutions. The aim of these initiatives is to condense knowledge and skills into short training programmes to improve competitiveness within the sector. The programmes are designed ad hoc by Catalonia.health, either exclusively or in collaboration with external agents.
Catalonia.health, with the support of ACCIÓ (Government of Catalonia), launched the IVD Accelerator programme to help accelerate projects from companies and startups specialising in in vitro diagnostics (IVD). Aimed at Catalonia.health member companies and startups in the R&D product and service development segment, the programme ran for 4 months and was structured around three key knowledge blocks: technology validation, regulatory affairs and market access strategy, Each block was delivered through three complementary approaches: high-level training sessions with international experts, networking sessions to strengthen relationships with key IVD ecosystem actors, and personalised consultancy for each participating company.
Catalonia.health launched three editions of the BIOMED ScaleUP program—in collaboration with Lead To Change and with the support of ACCIÓ—to foster the growth of biomedicine and health companies in Catalonia. The program brought together CEOs and business development directors from a total of 20 participating companies across the first two editions; participants highly valued the quality and practical utility of the content. The editions took place in 2021, 2022, and 2023.
In 2025, Catalonia.health launched the first edition of the PROGRES: Shared Value for the Health Industry program—in collaboration with Cliclab and with the support of ACCIÓ—to guide business leaders in the sector as they implement sustainability and shared value strategies within their organizations. Aimed at functional area leaders and members of executive committees, the program was structured around eight participatory teaching sessions, complemented by individual work on developing a business strategy with personalized guidance.
IVD Accelerator Programme lasts 4 months and is structured in three blocks focused on three areas of knowledge and key capacities in in vitro diagnostic projects:
